🎃 Happy Halloween, Students! 🎃 As you get ready for a night of fun and frights, here are some tips to ensure you stay safe: -Travel in Groups: There’s safety in numbers. Stick with your friends and look out for each other. -Stay Visible: Wear bright costumes or add reflective tape to your outfit. Carry a flashlight to help you see and be seen. -Check Your Treats: Before diving into your candy haul, make sure to inspect all treats for any signs of tampering. -Respect Others: Be mindful of your neighbors and their property. Not everyone celebrates Halloween, so be courteous. -Stay on the Path: Stick to well-lit streets and avoid shortcuts through alleys or unlit areas. -Emergency Contacts: Have a plan and know how to reach your friends or family if you get separated. -Have a spooktacular time, but remember, safety first! 🕸️👻 #HalloweenSafety #StaySafe #HappyHalloween

Rainelle Elementary is celebrating Red Ribbon Week with 5 days of dress up! Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, smoking, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the United States. It began as a tribute to fallen DEA special agent Enrique Camerena in 1985. Be certain that costumes are school appropriate. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher or our school counselor, Ms. Williams.

This week, we highlight the value of good character and its essential role in building strong communities that value positive, healthy relationships and respectful behavior. We celebrate young people who are role models of good character in their communities and support the parents and educators who teach our young people to be trustworthy, respectful, responsible, fair, caring, and good citizens.

Chart your course to the school cafeteria to celebrate National School Lunch Week! The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) serves nearly 30 million children every school day. President John F. Kennedy created National School Lunch Week (NSLW) in 1962 to promote the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and its impact inside and outside the classroom. GCS students are invited to eat school meals free of charge through our participation in the Community Eligibility Program (CEP).

Hello. This message is for parents of 4th and 5th grade students only. We are pleased to inform you that students who took the West Virginia General Summative Assessment in the spring of 2024 have received an email at their K12 student account containing an access code and link to their results. Your child’s teacher has help them access the information and they have instructions to assist you with retrieval. We are also sending paper copies home with your child today for your convenience. This is a brief summary of your child’s performance on the assessment. Thank you!
