As we move into November, we want to thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education. This month brings several important dates and opportunities to stay engaged with our schools.

- Nov. 21 - Teacher-Parent Conference Day - Staff Only
- Nov. 24 - 28 - Thanksgiving Break - school reconvenes 12/1

A language translation issue in our notification system caused several text messages and notifications to be sent in Korean, Chinese, or other languages. We are actively troubleshooting the issue and apologize for any confusion. We look forward to seeing you this evening at EGMS for Clay2Go Math & Science Family Night (5 - 7PM)!

A friendly reminder that tonight (September 15) is the Clay2Go Math/Science Family Night for parents and students 14 and under.  Come out to Eastern Greenbrier's Auxiliary Gym from 5-7 P.M. and try some math/science experiments with your child, courtesy of Greenbrier County Schools and The Clay Center. WVEIS Gradebook training will also be available for parents with students at any grade level.

Today, your child will be bringing home a Parent How-To Guide for enrolling in the West Virginia Education Information System (WVEIS) Parent Portal. This portal is your go-to resource for accessing important information such as grades, official attendance, transcripts, and direct email access to teachers. As the state has officially retired LiveGrades, transitioning to the WVEIS Portal is essential to ensure you continue to have timely access to your child’s academic progress and school communications. https://5il.co/3ojye

Important Update Regarding Bus Incident :
This afternoon, an unexpected situation occurred involving one of our school buses. A minor, who was not an Eastern Greenbrier Middle School student, was escorted from a bus at EGMS by local law enforcement. At no time was the safety of our students or staff compromised. The issue has been addressed and the individual will not be on the bus in the future. We understand that incidents like this can be unsettling, and we appreciate your continued trust and partnership as we work to ensure the safety of every student in our care.
